I was just remembering some of my favorite cartoons from the past; Ren & Stimpy being at the top. I saw John K's blog yesterday and it compelled me to revisit some of my favorite episodes. I wanted to post a comment on his blog and ended up creating my own.

I've wanted to be a cartoonist as long as I can remember, but my drawing skills were just so-so. Mad magazine got me hooked on Don Martin's cartoons and I think I bought every one of his books. Every time things looked bleak for me, I could pick up one of those books, get lost in the pages, laugh and things would seem okay again.
